Rainbow Eyes

BEEING LOST IN

RAINBOW EYES

“Rainbow Eyes” – A song about the magic of beeing lost in beautiful eyes

With “Rainbow Eyes,” the band WUHA delivers an emotional pop anthem full of longing, wonder, and warmth. The song captures the intensity of a single look – the kind that leaves you breathless and lost in a beautiful mystery. “Rainbow Eyes” becomes a symbol for beauty, depth, and the magical uncertainty of love.

Driven by a catchy melody and heartfelt lyrics, the track floats between dreamy verses and a powerful chorus. With screaming bends and searing tone, Wolfgang Laab unleashes a guitar solo that turns the track into a full-on rock anthem. The songs´ soft harmonies, memorable hook, and emotional tone create a soundscape that resonates long after the last note. Rounded off with the beautiful background voice of Petra Suk, known as Suki from Two In One.
Musically, “Rainbow Eyes” blends pop and soft rock with a touch of 80s nostalgia – modern in production, timeless in feeling.

CAROLINE

The Story behind „Caroline“

This song was written in 1989 when I was in love with a girl I regularly met at my favourite club, Poeblo, on Karlsplatz in Vienna. Together with her friend Petra, she was always my personal highlight in the club. The way she performed prompted me to write a song for her. We were also good friends and often talked for hours, but unfortunately it was never enough for a kiss or a relationship. I was still far too shy for that back then. The song was very well received by my band Staccato at the time and we also played it successfully at the Austrian band competition popodrom. Unfortunately, I soon lost sight of Caroline, but the song stayed with me as a reminder of her.

THE Production and MUSICIANs

In December 2024, a coronavirus infection forced me to quarantine for a week. I used this time to revisit the song and produce it again using modern means.

Electronically with Ableton Live and Protools. It has always been my passion to find cool new sounds to give songs their own character. In this digital world, however, I was lacking analogue instruments and so I was able to win over my band colleague at the time, Wolfgang Laab, who by then had gained national success (Christl Stürmer, Alf Poier, Manuel Ortega, Gernot Pachernigg, Gimme5, The real Stardust Babies, etc.) and international experience in the USA with Peter Wolf (Frank Zappa, Commodors, Cliff Richard, etc.). For me, Wolfgang was always the Austrian Steve Lukather from Toto. His sound, his way of playing is simply brilliant and suits the song.
The music video was lovingly produced by LIFESTYLE TV.

The secret of the lead vocal

It took a long time to find the right voice for the song. First I tried singing the lead vocal, then we replaced my voice with the AI. But we still weren’t happy. Then we did some research and asked people in the music industry.

Eventually we found a place on the internet where you could book professional singers. There was a lot to choose from, but we found a singer and contacted him. We sent him our demo, he loved it and took the job. He sent us 3 takes. The result was exactly what we were looking for. An international dream voice. When we spoke to him and asked him his real name, where he lived and if we could promote him, we got the answer: He works for international projects and needs to remain anonymous. So we gave him the name Marc Voc.

THE finish

The song Caroline was completed in January 2025 and will be released in February on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Instagram & Facebook, TikTok, TikTok Music (Beta), Resso, Luna, YouTube Music, Amazon. com, Pandora, Deezer, TIDAL, iHeartRadio, ClaroMusica, Saavn, Anghami, KKBox, Boomplay, Snapchat, NetEase, Tencent, Pretzel, TouchTunes, Audiomack, Yandex Music (Beta), Qobuz, Joox, Kuack Media Group (Beta), as well as many smaller providers via MediaNet, through to Dubset and other services.

Caroline herself had never heard the song, but her best friend at the time, Petra Suk (Suki), who herself had a very successful career with the band Two In One. (Golden record, top positions in the charts). We are very sorry, but we have no contact to Caroline anymore.

This release closes a circle for me – a song that began as a love song over three decades ago now shines in new splendour and brings the magic of the past into the present.

ABOUT WUHA

The Viennese production team WUHA unites a love for music with a shared history that began on stage and now continues to shine in a new light. As singers, musicians, songwriters, and producers, Wolfgang and Andreas bring together their diverse experiences from the worlds of live performance, studio work, and film production to create a truly unique sound.

Raised in the heart of the classical music capital Vienna, a chance encounter brought the two musicians together in a music store. The spark was immediate – “Let’s rock!” became their motto, and their first band, Cinderella, was born. As teenage newcomers with an average age of just 17, they conquered the stages of band contests, concerts, and open-air festivals. Later, with their professional Top-40 band Broadway, they toured across Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and more, performing in the spotlight at countless events.

After those shared years, their paths diverged – musically, though never in spirit. Wolfgang moved to the U.S., working in renowned studios alongside producers like Peter Wolf, while Andreas made a name for himself as a sound engineer in Austrian television and cinema, eventually founding his own studio, Abracadabra.

2025 marks the year of WUHA’s musical reunion.
With matured songs and new visions, they blend the best of past and present: the analog soul of their roots meets modern production techniques. Their music is honest, handcrafted, and deeply rooted in funk, soul, and rock – with a clear message: Feel the Groove.
WUHA stands for authentic sound, creative diversity, and a passion for keeping music alive.
